WE HAVE BEEN WORKING on an enormous project that had hoped could tell you about today, but there have been a few delays, and so, at this moment, a glimpse into a beautiful understated loft in Manhattan . . .

{décor inspiration : a manhattan loft, interior design by ochre}

British interior design firm, Ochre, was hirted to renovate the home to accommodate a family. The Crosby Street apartment is one of the classic lofts built in the New York neighborhood of Soho in the 1860's, with wonderfully high ceilings and large windows facing west. The interior designer chose a palette of soft greys and earth tones to create warmth and comfort amidst the streams of natural light . . .

HAVE BEEN TRAIPSING around in the insanely chic jewelry by Christina Jervey for the past few weeks, ever since it arrived, in pretty brown boxes tied in red ribbon, on Valentine's Day, and am particularly enamoured with a gold cuff, dramatic and a little rock 'n refined, and a tiny starfish pendant, utterly lovely and a little delicate, and reminds me of the Scottish coast . . .

Based in South Carolina, the designer's work is inspired by nature, with a love and appreciation for simplicity.

Christina Jervey took metalsmithing classes at Penland School of Crafts, followed by an apprenticeship with an accomplished goldsmith, and since, has manufactured and designed jewelry for several designers in the Charleston area.

HAPPENED UPON THIS SPACE by accident late last week, and fell in love with the simple, personal details that elevate this condo from its cookie-cutter beginnings -- the chandelier and gilded looking glass behind the sofa, gold faucet and glass hardware on the kitchen cupboards, and best of all, the mirrored insert on the breakfast bar . . .
